Protea Cottage is a unique and elegant venue for your next celebration!

    Our elegant tea parties are a unique way to celebrate any special occasion, be it a Birthday, Bridal or Baby Shower, Red
    Hat Tea, Book Club gathering, church or business function, or simply a “just because” get-together party for friends! You
    and your guests will be pampered like royalty with our delicious teas and party fare, enjoying the private use of our
    charming tea parlor with tiered tray service and the use of our fine china and linen.  Your function will reflect the charm
    and elegance of a bygone era: the way a proper tea party should!

    Option 1 : The Queen's Choice
                                                                                             
    You and your guests will be pampered like royalty whilst enjoying the private use of our Tea Parlor for two hours. You will
    be served the Royal Gardner Full Afternoon Tea which includes our freshly baked English scones with specialty house
    lemon curd, jam & cream, plenty of finger sandwiches, and a delicious assortment of elegant dessert treats. Enjoy
    unlimited pots of your choice of tea*, lemonade or pink hot chocolate  - or a combination of all three! Each guest
    receives an adorable teabag party favor (herbal available by request) with a demitasse teaspoon keepsake to
    remember this special occasion. The Queen herself receives a tiara to wear and a specialty Birthday Cake in a Teacup
    as our gifts. The parlor will feature a balloon bouquet which is yours to keep, pink tulle bows adorning the chairs and
    tables strewn with rose petals. Space permitting, a gift table will also be set up. Complimentary guest invitations
    provided.

    Price: $240 for 8 ladies; $20 per additional guest
    (Tax and 18% Gratuity to be added)

    *We suggest serving pots of Queen Elizabeth and Honeybush tea
    (or make your own selections from our vast array).

    Option 2: Duchess's Delight

    The Tea Parlor is reserved for two hours and guests enjoy the Royal Gardner Full Afternoon Tea with freshly baked
    English scones, lemon curd, jam & cream, plenty of finger sandwiches, and a delicious assortment of elegant dessert
    treats. This option also includes unlimited pots of your choice of tea*, lemonade or pink hot chocolate - or a combination
    of all three! Each guest receives an adorable teabag party favor (herbal available by request) and the parlor will be lightly
    decorated with strewn rose petals. The Duchess herself receives a tiara and a Birthday Cake in a Teacup with our
    compliments.

    Price: $200 for 8 ladies; $18 per additional guest
    (Tax and 18% Gratuity to be added)

    Option 3: Damsels in Tea-stress

    This is a simpler option when all that matters is the tea and company! Enjoy private use of the Tea Parlor for two hours
    with unlimited pots of excellent tea* and plenty of finger sandwiches and freshly baked scones (Village Light Afternoon
    Tea). The Damsel of Honor receives a tiara and a Birthday Cake in a Teacup with our compliments.

    Price: $160 for 8 ladies; $13 per additional guest
    (Tax and 18% Gratuity to be added)

    * Suggested Teas: Orange Spice and Stress-Busting Chai


    Option 4: Mommy ‘n Me or Grandma ‘n Me Private Tea Party

    Enjoy some quality time with the young ladies and gentlemen that light up your life!    
     Adults may choose two types of tea and children enjoy lemonade, pink or regular hot chocolate.
     Enjoy private use of  the Tea Parlor for two hours. Children may use all our dress-ups whilst enjoying our Village
     Light Tea Service. Party favors for both adults and  children as well as a balloon bouquet provided.
                                                          
                      Price: $ 230 for 4 adults and 4 children. $14 per additional adult & $12 per additional child.    
                   
    (Infants in arms will not be charged, however seated toddlers will be considered guests.  Adults are respectfully asked to
    control rowdy children. All the Rules & Regulations pertaining to our Little Ladies' Tea Parties apply and are agreed to
    when booking this party option.)


                             The absolute maximum number of guests we can SAFELY accommodate is 18.

    As noted below under our Policies, Options 1.2 and 3 are intended for adults. You are kindly requested to make
    alternative arrangements for children. Each seated guest will be charged full price, no matter their age &
    whether or not they have been included in reservation quota.


            
    All prices quoted include a room rental fee.

    An 18% service gratuity will be added to your final bill.
                  This applies to all party options.

    Our parlor will be lightly decorated according to your party theme. You are welcome to bring additional accessories like
    themed napkins and table decorations, as long as they are in keeping with the elegant ambiance of our tearoom.
    If space permits, a gift table or area will be provided.

    Extra Party Services & Products:

  • Special occasion cake may be requested at $25 extra (or you may provide your own with $8 cutting fee)
  • Our specialty Rose Cake in a Teacup is available by special order
           (White Demitasse: $12.99; Burgundy Parisian Teacup $14.99 or Vintage Pink & Gold: $16.99)
  • Additional Teabag Party Favors available at $4 each; Teabag favor with demitasse teaspoon attached $6
            Beautifully presented in individual mini pink tea chest pouches. Advance ordering required.
  • A balloon bouquet of your color choice is available for $12 (5 balloons) ; $16 (7) or $18 ( 9)
  • The guest of honor  will receive a "Birthday cake in a Teacup" as their special gift. The teacup & saucer (& cake
    within) are theirs to keep.
  • Limousine transport service can be arranged for you and your guests or just the guest of honor upon request.
    (Price varies depending on distance & availability) Booking required in advance as well as separate deposit.
  • Individual Tea Leaf readings by special request at $15 per person (not available for groups larger than 12)
  • Etiquette Talk available by special request (additional $20)
  • Tea-go (Tea Bingo) Parlor game offered with game hostess-caller by special request (additional $30  including 6
    prizes or $15  excluding prizes)



BEFORE SCHEDULING YOUR PARTY, PLEASE BE SURE TO READ OUR PARTY POLICIES.
Once a signed Reservation Form (below) and your deposit have been received, your party date will be reserved.    
Unfortunately, no times may be held until receipt thereof. We suggest that you book your party at least two weeks or
more ahead of time to avoid disappointment.



                                                                            
 Party Policies

  1. A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 along with this signed Tea Party Reservation Form will reserve your party date.
    The balance is due the day of the party.
  2. All parties are reserved with a minimum of 8 party guests. If less than 8 guests attend, you will still be charged for
    the minimum. There is an additional charge for each guest over the minimum. Our tea parlor can only safely
    accommodate 18 people total.
  3. We will call the day prior to confirm your final guest count. Unless we are notified at least 6 hours ahead of your
    party time, this is the number we will prepare for and you will be charged accordingly. If guests fail to arrive, you
    may take home the extra food prepared for them. However, no discount or modified party cost will apply. Sorry -
    absolutely no exceptions.
  4. Party options 1, 2 and 3 are designed for adults. We suggest that you make alternative arrangements for children. .
  5. Any allergies or dietary restrictions must be brought to our attention in advance.
  6. In order to accommodate the group in the best manner possible, it is important that the guests arrive on time.
    Should the guest of honor be late, the party will only begin upon her arrival but will still end at the designated time.
  7. PLEASE NOTE: Your deposit is non-refundable.  In the unlikely event of you having to cancel or postpone your
    party,  you are required to do so a MINIMUM of 72 hours ahead of your scheduled party time. Parties must then be
    rescheduled within four weeks of original party date or deposit is forfeited. Cancellations later than 72 hours ahead
    will be charged in full to your credit card. By signing our reservations form, you agree to these conditions.
  8. Alcohol is not permitted on the premises.
  9. Restrooms are located outside our building to the north at the red doors.
  10. Although accidents do happen, if anything belonging to Protea Cottage is damaged due to misuse or neglect, you
    will be charged for any replacements.
  11. Parties run for two hours. Due to the fact that we often host several parties in one day, guests will not be seated in
    Parlor more than 5 minutes before scheduled party time. We respectfully ask that you and your guests kindly take
    your leave within 10 minutes of scheduled ending time.
  12. Guests may not bring outside food or beverages to the tearoom, with the exception of a specialty cake in which
    case the standard $8 cutting fee applies.
  13. Decorations provided remain the property of Protea Cottage and may not be removed. (Purchased or package
    included balloon bouquets excluded) Items damaged will incur a charge. If guests provide their own decorative
    items, we accept no liability or responsibility for them and decorations are limited to tables (no hanging of
    decorations or tape or adhesive to walls or fixtures permitted).
  14. Acknowledgement of these policies and agreement thereto is made by signing the Reservation Form below. No
    party will be confirmed as reserved without this signed form and the required deposit. In addition, a credit card
    number will be required to hold your reservation. This card will not be charged for anything other than the deposit
    unless you or your party fail to arrive or abide by our Cancellation Policy. (Refer to # 7)
