Protea Cottage Tea Party Policies


PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE RESERVING YOUR PARTY

         All Parties:
  1. A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 along with a signed Tea Party Reservation Form will reserve your
    party date. The balance is due the day of the party.
  2. All parties are reserved with a minimum number ofparty guests, according to party description.  You will
    still be charged for the minimum, no matter how few guests arrive. There is an additional charge for each
    guest over the minimum. Our tea parlor can only safely accommodate 18 people total (children and
    adults) HOWEVER we strongly advise that you keep your total guest number below 16 for maximum
    enjoyment of the facility.
  3. An 18 % gratuity will be added to your final bill. Please factor this in to your cost as it is not include in
    prices quoted.
  4. Any allergies or dietary restrictions must be brought to our attention in advance. Note that extra charges
    may apply for special dietary accommodations.
  5. Guests may NOT bring any outside, food or beverages to the tearoom, with the exception of a specialty
    cake in which case a standard $8 cutting fee applies. We must be notified in advance if you are bringing
    your own cake.
  6. Alcohol is not permitted on the premises.
  7. Decorations provided remain the property of Protea Cottage and may not be removed.
  8. NO CHEWING GUM permitted in the tea parlor.
  9. CELL PHONES must be turned off or on silent mode.  
  10. In order to accommodate the group in the best manner possible, it is important that the guests arrive on
    time. Late arrivals will be integrated into the current stage of the party. If the guest of honor arrives late,
    the party will only begin upon her arrival. However, it will still end at the pre-scheduled time.
  11. PLEASE NOTE: Your deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE.  In the unlikely event of you having to cancel or
    postpone your party,  you are required to do so a MINIMUM of 72 hours ahead of your scheduled
    party time. Parties must then be rescheduled within four weeks of original party date or deposit is
    forfeited. Cancellations later than 72 hours ahead will be charged in full to your credit card. By signing our
    reservations form, you agree to these conditions.
  12. Rest rooms are located outside our building to the north at the red doors.
  13. Although accidents do happen, if anything belonging to Protea Cottage is damaged due to misuse of
    neglect, you will be charged for any replacements.
  14. Parties run for two hours. Guests may arrive NO MORE THAN 5 min before and must kindly take their
    leave within 10 minutes after scheduled time.
  15. We accept no liability whatsoever for any injury sustained during any of our tea parties. By signing, you
    and your guests assume all access and participation risks.
        
    Additional policies for
            Mommy 'n Me, Princess & Young Ladies' Parties:
  1. We request that no more than FOUR observing adults be in the parlor during children's parties. We will be
    happy to provide full tea service for such guests at the additional adult cost with advance notification.
  2. Any accompanying siblings or other children will be considered guests and charged accordingly.
  3. Princess Parties are most suitable for children aged 3  to 10. It is our experience that this age group derives
    the most benefit and enjoyment from our structured parties. Children younger than 3 cannot and should
    not be expected to exercise the necessary restraint and appropriate behavior for an entire 2 hour period.
    Please make alternative arrangements for toddlers.
  4. The party hostess will promote good manners and lady-like behavior to the best of her ability; however,
    you will be ultimately responsible for the children’s behavior. A minimum of two adults are required to
    assist with guests under the age of five.
  5. The objective of Protea Cottage Tea Parties is to provide for a memorable occasion. This can only be done
    in a safe and comfortable environment. For this reason we ask that a responsible adult supervise and
    ensure that our young guests behave appropriately and treat the Tea Parlor and each other with due
    respect. No active or rowdy games are permitted. Children may not run in and out of parlor.
  6. Rest rooms are located outside our building to the north at the red doors. At least one adult should escort
    children under the age of 10. (We ask that no more than 3 guests leave at a time.) Children may not leave
    the Parlor in any of our party dresses or accessories.


                Bookings may only be confirmed upon receipt of deposit  and    
    signed Reservation Form. Requested dates will NOT be held provisionally.
